Justin Bertsch, PGA and Daniel Heaslip, PGA made birdie on the third playoff hole to win the Yamaha Junior-Senior over David Ladd, PGA and Paul Scaletta, PGA at Lost City Golf Club.
At the conclusion of play Bertsch/Heaslip and Ladd/Scaletta were tied at 10-under. The two teams would play a modified alternate shot, sudden death playoff. After both teams made two consecutive pars, Bertsch stuck his approach shot inside eight feet, to take the advantage on the third hole After a two-putt par from Ladd/Scaletta, Heaslip, PGA Director of Golf at Windstar on Naples Bay managed to drop the birdie putt, capturing the win for Bertsch/Heaslip.
“I think our partnership goes back to close to 15 years,” said Bertsch, PGA Head Professional at Club Pelican Bay. “We have gotten really close several times, so it is nice to get over the hump finally and get into the winners circle.”
